    This video needs some help. The Plyometrics were all over the place. The invisible list he kept referring to was crazy. I’m assuming he didn’t watch it for accuracy?🤦🏾‍♂️

    Thank you for debunking the myth that speed cannot be taught and is influenced primarily by genetics. Case in point: even elite sprinters come in all shapes and sizes with the exception of the morbidly obese--so body type should be largely irrelevant if you are willing to put the work in to improve your speed.

      Yea I mean it’s just science tbh Speed is Force x velocity Other aspects of speed is Torque Technique Elasticity Fast twitch muscle fibers CNS all which is proven to be trainable by research itself for years

    Lets say ur doing 2 foot hurdle hops. In one workout, could you do it so the first 2 sets are for gct over a low hurdle, and the next 2 are for height over a high hurdle?

    Hey jamari I’ve been watching your vids for a while now. I’m trying to get sub 11 in the 100 and sub 22 in the 200. I just turned 15 and what would you recommend for me. I don’t do plyometrics, I cannot access a nearby gym however I have a massive field next to my house. Any recommendations for me? Im more built for the 200, my start is my weakest part of my race

      Well doing a progressive plyometric program and some bodyweight. Strength work will help you a ton and your already very fast for as little training you have!

      For lifting, probably of 1rm, for the resistance plyos, likely of body weight

    Jordan never had a 48 inch vertical jump like they allege. Theres no video proof and all of those dunks from this video was not vertical jumps. He was running and jumping which makes you jump higher than just jumping straight up and he still didn't reach the 48 inches. Good Video Review.

    One of the things to also consider is Jordan could jump those numbers with the “limit” of the rim. Throw down an 11’ rim and suddenly he’d have to jump higher which looks like he could. Seeing a stretch to do some jumps would probably be a better indicator really. Good analysis overall though. 👍

    Are bounds knee or ankle dominant? Like as in do u push off the ground with ur knee or pop off as fast as possible with ur ankle??

      There are thousands of ways to say ankle dominant, hip dominant , ankle, glute , elastic, etc. but generally it should challenge the ankles, glutes and quads a ton if done correctly

    Lmao. You should be in the weight room. Period. 2 state championships, almost 3 and we were in the gym. That’s the one thing I see lacking in recruits and high school athletes. They aren’t strong. At least here in the state of California.

    "weights" as in Olympic lifting and squats CAN give BOLING NEW LIFE. Kim Collins didn't lift until 34 years old at the urging of his wife and his times dropped for the next 4 years. He was running 6.5 60m before and 6.4 60m after and consistent sub 10.00 seconds. It was at the urging of his wife who insisted he use great technique. Using tools to get new gains will get you new confidence.

      @@justjumari On other channels they mention how Miller is fast enough to qualify for the Olympic trials. Although the chances of him making the team are slim it's mind blowing a 17-year-old is in the conversation.

      @@grimreality808 I think it actually makes the sport less respected since the professionals for some reason can not consistently run lower times. how are these guy running 9.8 for 1-2 years then sign with a big brand and averaging 10.12 now? I feel like its an underrated problem in the sport people are not talking about

      @@justjumari Like you mentioned in some of your videos, it could be due to speed equates to being bouncy. Younger sprinters with fresh legs tend to be more bouncy while the older sprinters may get stronger but less bouncy as they age.

    Math is a bit off. If he's 6'-6" that would be 78". 10 feet is 120". 120 - 78 = 42. If he could jump where the rim is at eye level, you'd have to factor in the distance from his eyes to the top of his head which on an average person is around 4.5" - 6". I'd say it's possible for him to hit 48". You'd have to look at his first couple of years in the league though. His vertical lowered quite a bit after he bulked up. In the 1985 Dunk contest where he does a one handed reverse cradle he got to almost eye level - that's at least 43-44" vertical with the ball. We're also not sure if it was 100 percent effort or just enough effort to complete the dunk. I say 48" is possible max without the ball during the NBA combine fitness test. In game though, it's very rare to find anyone's maximum vertical - players focus on getting buckets rather than getting as high as they can. I'd say most times he probably hovers around 38-40" on his highest in game jumps.

    WEll as for timing the sprints, i do not do that and still sliced of 1 second from each of my sprinters. So, more important is that i have a set of equally as strong ladies and gents sprinting. Ranging inside the same second. That competition in training is it for me especially when doing the 30/40 dashes for acceleration...
